When cycling in the hills around Kinderhook I often come upon small grave sites; not your typical church cemeteries but single family burial plots nestled near old farmhouses or forgotten at the edge of the woods. I love the way nature mingles with the graves, the way they teeter and totter in the undulating earth. The tiny baby graves stand next to the large mother and father graves, families clustered together.
